2026 UNADILLA NATIONAL: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE RACE DAY

After a two-week break, the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship returns this weekend at one of the most historic tracks in American motocross, Unadilla MX. Round nine kicks off the final three-race stretch of the outdoor season, and with only six motos remaining, both championships are still very much up for grabs. Unadilla’s old-school natural-terrain layout uses the rolling hills of New York’s Unadilla Valley, with major elevation changes, rough terrain and a layout that has remained one of the sport’s toughest tests for decades. Hunter Lawrence enters the weekend with the 450 red plate and plenty of momentum after winning back-to-back Nationals, including a (2-1) overall victory at Washougal. Hunter now leads Jett Lawrence by 12 points, but Unadilla has been especially good to Jett, who remains undefeated at the track in the 450 class. Haiden Deegan sits third in the standings after three consecutive podium finishes and continues to chase his first premier-class overall victory. The 250 championship is even tighter. Levi Kitchen holds the red plate with 293 points, but Cole Davies has closed the gap to just seven after sweeping both motos at Washougal. Davies has six moto wins and three overall victories this summer, while Kitchen has relied on consistency to maintain control of the championship. With Unadilla followed immediately by Budds Creek and Ironman, there is little room left for mistakes as the championship enters its final push.

Hunter Lawrence has been capitalizing on the mistakes made by Jett Lawrence. This is not to say Hunter is undeserving because he, in fact, has put himself into the position each week to grab the win. He has been the most consistent rider thus far this year.
